This year we changed and evolved in a metamorphosis that, thanks to the acceptance of the public, after 23 years pushed us to grow and offer new activities for the cinephiles of Mexico. As part of this evolution, we have given a small twist to our traditional opening and will again present a classic of German cinema, but not from the twenties but from the nineties: Runs Lola, runs by Tom Tykwer.
This iconic film that marked an entire generation, that became a cult movie and taught us about a modern, colorful, passionate and powerful Germany, is 25 years since it was released in Mexico and we will celebrate by projecting a restored version in 4K with some corrections that the same director made to commemorate the fourth century of this emblematic piece of the German seventh art.
However, the tradition that we will never lose is to link German creation and cinematography with Mexican. Therefore, we have invited one of the most respected alternative rock bands from the independent scene in this country: Hello Seahorse! , which will reinterpret the soundtrack of the film by means of an original creation that will transport us through the history of this great film.
